드로잉룸(dR)은 2019년 4월 서울, 용산에 설립하여 2022년 4월 종로 서촌으로 이전, 시대성과 작가정신을 지향하는 현대미술의 친숙한 경험 전달을 위한 상업 전시 공간이다.
dR은 동시대 작가의 시각 언어를 draw하는 매개체가 되어 새로운 아이디어가 대중에게 연결되는 시너지 있는 공간, 일상 속에서 예술을 끌어내어(draw) 미술시장의 다양성을 추구한다. 작가와 협업을 통한 전시기획 및 다양한 프로젝트로 작가 프로모션을 통한 성장을 도모한다.
dR 연간 프로그램 <신진작가 개인전 지원 프로그램> 기획을 통한 신진작가 발굴 및 개인전 지원으로 신진작가들이 상업씬에서 활동할 수 있는 플랫폼을 제공하고자 한다.
drawingRoom (dR) is a commercial art gallery for contemporary art established in 2019 at Yongsan and relocated to Jongno, Seoul in 2022. It aims to embrace the spirit of the times and the artist's vision in the art scene. dR serves as a platform that draws contemporary artists to connect new ideas with the public and promote diversity in the art market.
Our strategy involves promoting artists through exhibition planning and collaborative projects. Through our annual program titled <Supporting Emerging Artists' Solo Exhibition>, we aim to further discover and support new artists by providing a platform to showcase their works. We believe that providing emerging artists an opportunity to express and share their innovative perspectives is imperative in allowing us to experience the spirit of the contemporary art scene.
